Job summary

Accenture is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Ohio to lead electrical utilities capital projects, driving performance across scope, schedule, quality and innovation for high‑risk initiatives. You will coordinate with sponsors and stakeholders to deliver outcomes while leveraging digital capabilities and AI for smarter delivery.

The role requires 5 years of experience, supervisory skills, and the ability to manage large-dollar programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• 5 years’ experience in electrical utilities project management.
• Experience administering large-dollar projects.
• Professional experience in electric transmission and substation construction projects.
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Valid driver’s license and driving record that meets Accenture requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overall project performance including scope, quality, schedule, and innovation for complex/high-risk projects.
• Serve as primary communicator with sponsor and stakeholders on project issues.
• Manage project finances, scope, cost, scheduling, environment, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder relations.
• Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to align project requirements.
• Develop and present project status updates to the Program Manager and customer leadership.
• Identify and secure the necessary project team resources to ensure successful execution.
• Review contractor invoices for accuracy, completeness, and alignment with project scope and terms.
• Lead detailed, regularly scheduled project meetings and presentations to align teams and stakeholders.
• Foster strong working relationships between the project manager, line managers, and team members.
• Manage project costs and develop recovery plans when needed to stay within budget limits.
• Ensure all project team members clearly understand their responsibilities and deliverables.
• Coach and lead team members in developing task plans, spending plans, and communication plans that align with project goals.
• Flexible: The work location for this role will include a mix of working remotely, onsite at a client or in an Accenture office or center.
