Job summary

City of Wildwood is seeking a seasoned Utility Operations Supervisor to lead field crews and oversee the planning, maintenance, and lifecycle planning of water, reclaimed water, and sewer systems. You will coordinate asset management data with GIS, CMMS, and capital improvement planning.

Strong leadership and knowledge of FDEP regulations are essential. The ideal candidate has a Florida Level III license, a Level III Wastewater Technician certification, and significant supervisory utility

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Minimum five years' experience in operation, repair, and maintenance of distribution, collection, and reclaimed systems, with two years in a supervisory position.
• Three years of experience in underground utility installations, construction, locating, and FDEP regulations.
• Experience with asset management systems, GIS, or infrastructure data management preferred.
• Must possess a valid State of Florida Driver’s License or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Must possess a State of Florida Level III Distribution System Operators License (required) or ability to obtain within one year.
• Must possess a Level III Wastewater Collections Technician certification (required) or ability to obtain within one year.

Responsibilities

• Assists with supervising crews in daily maintenance and repairs of water distribution, wastewater, and reclaimed systems.
• Oversees work order management, documentation, and performance metrics for maintenance activities.
• Maintains and enhances asset data within GIS and CMMS systems.
• Coordinates with Engineering, Public Works, GIS, and Finance to support asset management and planning.
• Ensures safety procedures and regulatory compliance during field operations.
• Supports emergency response activities for system failures and outages.
