Job summary

South Jersey Gas in Atlantic City is seeking a Customer Service Representative to handle billing inquiries, payments, service requests, and customer verifications. You will deliver high-quality service at call centers and walk-in centers, respond to inquiries, explain policies, and assist customers with financial assistance programs and account maintenance.

The role operates with a 7am–8pm schedule, Monday through Friday, may require travel to other locations, and starts at $20.13 per hour with

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Must pass basic skills test.
• Call center experience preferred.
• Experience meeting KPIs preferred.
• Bilingual abilities valued.
• Industry experience: banking, sales, mortgage, utility, medical admin, dispatcher, military.

Responsibilities

• Addresses and responds to customer inquiries and maintains good relations.
• Uses company systems to process transactions and update records.
• Delivers high-quality customer service and resolves issues.
• Explains policies in line with company and BPU guidelines.
• Processes payments and balances transactions.
• Assists in training other representatives as directed by supervision.
• Handles service requests and billing inquiries.
