Socket.dev is seeking an Utilities Asset Management Specialist in Florida to support the Asset Management Program. The role focuses on CMMS data analysis, asset condition assessments, and risk-driven decision making to improve maintenance and reliability of water and wastewater assets.

The position involves data collection, reporting, and collaboration with stakeholders to implement workflow improvements and SOPs, with a strong emphasis on cost efficiency and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited two (2) year college with an Associate’s Degree in Operations, Database Management, or other related field.
• Five (5) years of experience in water and wastewater utilities. Experience in utility asset management and CMMS a plus.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to secure a valid Florida driver’s license within 30 days of employment within this classification.
• Graduate of an accredited four (4) year college with major course work in Business, Database Management, or other related field.

Responsibilities

• Ensure asset acquisition, operation, and maintenance data is accurate, consistent, and recorded in the Work Management System and Data Registry.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret asset/system data to assess risk, criticality, and performance.
• Leverage asset data to identify service improvement opportunities, including preventive maintenance programs and asset/system renewal or replacement.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to capture, present, and communicate risk assessments based on condition, performance, and work order history.
• Participate in defining, improving, and simplifying workflows to optimize processes.
• Prepare reports, develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and support level-of-service development.
• Assist in establishing best practices to enhance operational efficiency, reviewing processes with stakeholders and impacted staff.
