Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Senior GIS Data Analyst to join the Water Asset Management team remotely in the Southeast. You will manage Esri geodatabases, design data pipelines for IoT and asset data, and deliver insights to optimize operations.

You will collaborate with engineers and project managers to refine analytics, support QA/QC processes, and communicate findings to clients through dashboards and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geography/GIS, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 7–10 years of professional experience in data analysis, GIS, or IoT-related analytics.
• Hands‑on exposure to the Esri Utility Network (UN) datasets and workflows.

Responsibilities

• QA/QC of meter, SCADA, and telemetry feeds to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain and edit asset data in Esri geodatabases and utility models.
• Provide daily client updates with insights from data analysis.
• Monitor inventory across project locations and address shortages.
• Coordinate maintenance and asset allocations with relevant teams.
• Lead weekly client meetings to review reports and discuss progress.
