Job summary

Benesch, a growing multi-disciplinary planning, engineering, and professional services firm, seeks a senior Transportation Project Manager to lead Utah growth. This seller-doer role balances technical excellence with business development, people leadership, and staff mentorship across disciplines.

You will shape the Utah practice, recruit talent, manage key client relationships, and contribute to the firm’s long-term presence in the state while leveraging national resources with local autonomy.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or similar degree required.
• PE License.
• Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong understanding and familiarity with project delivery in Utah.
• Progressive experience working with clients to develop relationships and win work.
• Excellent leadership, communication, business development, project management, and client relations skills.
• Ability to recruit new talent.

Responsibilities

• Lead the growth of Benesch in Utah by building the Utah practice.
• Recruit and mentor staff across disciplines.
• Develop and manage client relationships and win work.
• Oversee scope, schedule, budgets, and resources on multiple projects.
• Contribute to local, regional, and corporate strategic growth initiatives.
• Produce project communications and QC reviews; oversee design calculations.
• Develop and oversee task work plans for engineers, designers, inspectors, and technologists.
