Job summary

Benesch in Utah is seeking a senior Transportation Project Manager to lead a growing practice. This role blends technical excellence with business development, strong people leadership, and the ability to shape strategy and client relationships while delivering complex highway, roadway, and traffic projects.

You will recruit and mentor staff, manage multiple projects, balance scope, schedule, budget, and resources, and leverage national resources with local autonomy as the office expands.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership role balancing strategy, culture, client relationships and delivery.
• Seller-doer mindset with ability to grow the Utah practice.
• Interest in developing Utah-based staff and client networks.

Responsibilities

• Immediate contribution to contracted backlog
• Manage scope, schedule, budgets, and resources for multiple projects
• Contribute to local, regional, and corporate strategic growth initiatives
• Assemble competent project communications, including meeting minutes, technical documents, and reports
• Assume responsibility for assigned design calculation files, assuring adequate independent QC reviews
• Help build and shape Benesch’s Utah presence
• Leverage national resources while maintaining local autonomy
• Opportunity for expanded leadership responsibilities as the office grows
• Strong understanding and familiarity with project delivery in Utah
• Excellent leadership, communication, business development, project management, and client relation skills
