Job summary

Kelso Building Services is seeking a full-time field HVAC technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial and industrial systems across various building types.

You will handle RTUs, VRV/VRF, VAV, chillers, boilers, AHUs, and related components, while keeping precise service records and communicating findings to clients. A high school diploma and EPA 608 certification are required; travel to job sites is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC training/certification preferred.
• 3+ years in commercial HVAC service.
• Hands-on with RTUs, VRV/VRF, VAV, chillers, boilers, AHUs.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification required.
• Ability to read blueprints and diagrams.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communicator with customer-service focus.
• Valid driver's license; willing to travel to job sites.

• Identify and resolve electrical and mechanical issues across a range of HVAC platforms.
• Replace or repair components such as motors, compressors, fans, and thermostats.
• Read and work from wiring diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer documentation.
• Keep clients and team members informed on service findings and recommended next steps.
• Maintain thorough service records covering work completed, parts used, and system conditions.
• Perform all work in compliance with safety standards, applicable codes, and company policy.

What You'll Bring:

• Hands-on experience with RTUs, VRV/VRF, VAV, split systems, chillers, boilers, and AHUs.
• Solid understanding of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and mechanical components.
• EPA 608 Universal Certification required.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical documentation.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving ability.
• Effective communicator with solid customer service instincts.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites.

Preferred Qualifications:

• NATE certification or equivalent.
• Experience with digital service tools or mobile work order platforms.
