Job summary

Rowbel Services is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to diagnose and repair HVAC systems across commercial and residential settings. You will perform maintenance, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and ensure systems run at peak performance while documenting work and parts used.

Preferred candidates hold EPA 608 (and ideally NATE) certifications, with 3+ years of field experience and the ability to travel to various job sites.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HVAC service experience or similar role.
• Proficiency with VRF systems and light commercial work.
• EPA 608 certification required.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair HVAC systems including rooftop units and chillers.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections for optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in HVAC equipment.
• Replace defective components such as motors, compressors, and thermostats.
• Interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals; communicate findings clearly.
• Maintain accurate service records and ensure safety and codes compliance.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose and repair HVAC systems, including rooftop units, split systems, boilers, chillers, and heat pumps.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal system performance and longevity.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues in HVAC equipment.
• Replace or repair defective components such as motors, compressors, fans, and thermostats.
• Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding service findings and recommendations.
• Maintain accurate service records, including work performed, parts used, and system conditions.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, building codes, and company policies.

Qualifications

Required:

• 3+ years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician or in a similar role.
• Proficiency with VRF Systems and light commercial work.
• EPA 608 certification.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and mechanical components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Preferred:

• NATE certification or equivalent.
• Familiarity with digital service tools and mobile work order platforms.

• Hourly Rate: Up to $50/hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
