Job summary

Blue Star Families in Ogden, UT is seeking an Associate Director of Development for the Utah Chapter to lead local fundraising efforts and cultivate donor relationships. This remote/virtual role partners with the national Development team to align strategies and sustain growth within the chapter.

The role requires managing a donor portfolio, supporting grant writing, and traveling for occasional in-person events.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years of fundraising experience in a nonprofit.
• Demonstrated success in individual giving, corporate sponsorships, and/or grant writing.
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Director with local fundraising strategy to meet or exceed chapter revenue goals.
• Meet or exceed an annual fundraising goal of at least $100,000.
• Build and manage a portfolio of new major gift prospects and advance them through the donor lifecycle.
