Job summary

Blue Star Families, a national nonprofit dedicated to improving military family life, seeks a Development Manager to provide administrative support to the Development Department and assist with fundraising processes. This remote role requires strong data handling, note-taking, and writing abilities, plus occasional travel for team offsites and events.

You will work with Salesforce, Google Suite, and fundraising tools to maintain donor data, craft communications, and contribute to grant writing

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of related fundraising experience.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or commensurate experience.
• Proficiency in Google Suite, Canva, Salesforce, and Hive, or the ability to learn quickly.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working in a virtual environment.

Responsibilities

• Accurately create and update Salesforce records for donor interactions and opportunities.
• Take comprehensive meeting notes and manage follow-up actions.
• Manage appointments and schedules using Google Calendar.
• Support donor stewardship reporting for corporate and foundation donors.
