Job Description Summary

Penn Live Arts (PLA) at the University of Pennsylvania is seeking enthusiastic, customer‑service‑oriented part‑time ushers to join its Front of House team. Ushers play a key role in delivering the highest level of service to patrons, artists, clients, and the public.

Responsibilities

• Wayfinding
• Ticket taking
• Seating patrons
• Passing out programs
• Enforcing theatre and building policies
• Assisting patrons with accessibility needs
• Overseeing load‑in and load‑out of rental set‑up
• Other duties as needed

Qualifications

Qualified applicants will have a friendly and professional demeanor, excellent customer‑service skills, enjoy working as part of a team, and be able to multi‑task and work well under pressure. Ushers will primarily work at the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, but may be requested to work off‑site. Most shifts occur at night and on weekends; daytime availability is a plus. The position requires standing for long periods, may involve late nights or weekends, occasional heavy lifting, and parking is not free on campus.
