Job summary

Auros is seeking a Research Consultant on our Consulting Services team to help customers gain high-quality insights and deliver them via UserTesting. You will mentor customers, lead training programs, and support research initiatives that drive customer success and adoption.

This role emphasizes analytical thinking, collaboration across internal teams, and the ability to translate complex methods into practical, scalable approaches that impact decision-making.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or MA/MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Cognitive Psychology, Sociology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in UX research or research consulting.
• Consultative problem-solving approach to guide customers toward solutions.
• Understanding of UX research's impact on business decisions and ROI.
• Strong knowledge of UX research methods (usability testing, card sorting, tree testing, moderated interviews, concept testing).
• Experience embedding research across product lifecycle.
• Familiarity with remote research platforms (UserTesting, UserZoom, or similar).
• Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills; ability to simplify complex concepts.
• Ability to coach customers on methodologies and platform usage.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills; collaborative mindset.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced consulting environment; adaptable and proactive.
• Familiarity with EnjoyHQ or Dovetail is a plus.
• Occasional travel required (5–10%).

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding programs to enable customers in understanding the basics of the UserTesting platform and monitor completion.
• Act as a trusted advisor guiding customers through research studies, methodologies, and best practices.
• Plan, support, and lead in-depth workshops on research execution and measuring KPIs.
• Support customers in building effective research studies with proper methodologies.
• Provide guidance on analyzing findings, synthesizing insights, and presenting recommendations.
• Help customers operationalize and scale research within their workflows.
• Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, and Product teams to support retention and growth.
• Identify customer needs and tailor recommendations to improve research practices.
• Contribute to internal initiatives to enhance consulting frameworks and resources.
