Job summary

Lithia Motors in Bend, OR is hiring a Recon Manager. The role leads used-vehicle reconditioning efforts, coordinating with Sales, Service, and Marketing to ensure timely and high-quality results. You will inspect trades, manage recalls, and oversee costed labor and parts for every vehicle before it goes on the lot.

The position offers a competitive annual pay range, standard benefits, and a schedule Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm. High attention to detail and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and accuracy in evaluating reconditioning work and costs.
• Strong communication with Sales, Service, and Marketing teams.
• Proficiency in typing and data entry for repair orders and estimates.
• Ability to perform basic calculations for labor and parts pricing.

Responsibilities

• Develop departmental plans, goals, and performance standards with senior managers.
• Document procedures for used vehicle reconditioning.
• Perform intake inspections and estimates for trade-ins and auctions.
• Open recall campaigns using NHTSA resources.
• Ensure 72-hour turnaround from intake to lot placement.
• Break down reconditioning estimates for labor and parts costs.
• Communicate time allocations and financial investments to managers.
• Monitor quality throughout reconditioning and coordinate with departments.
• Describe vehicles for internet postings with Marketing.
• Regularly report productivity and quality results to Sales/Service Managers.
