Job summary

Kayser Chrysler Center of Watertown is seeking an experienced Used Vehicle Mechanic to inspect and repair vehicles as they come into inventory and prepare them for retail sale. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform maintenance, and ensure safety and retail readiness of each vehicle.

The role requires strong diagnostic and mechanical skills, the ability to work independently, and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive repair experience preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills required.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently.
• Good attention to detail and reliability.
• ASE certifications are a plus but not required.
• Dealership experience is preferred, but experienced independent tech will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Inspect used vehicles for required repairs and prepare for sale.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
• Perform general mechanical repairs and maintenance.
• Complete brake, suspension, steering, cooling, and related repairs.
• Perform oil changes and routine maintenance.
• Determine if repairs are necessary for safety and retail readiness.
• Coordinate with Used Vehicle and Service teams to move vehicles through process.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
