Job summary

Peterson Cat is seeking a Used Equipment Sales Administrator for either Hillsboro, OR or San Leandro, CA. The role supports the Used Equipment department with paperwork, data entry, and asset management.

You will coordinate hauling, post assets to CATUSED.com, and work with Marketing to prepare promotions while maintaining accurate inventory records. Travel may be required and strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of related equipment sales experience.
• Caterpillar dealer background preferred.
• Knowledge of Dealer Business System (DBS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Used Equipment with paperwork and data entry for purchases and trade-ins.
• Monitor and track Need to Locate (NTL) requests for used assets and liaise with the Used Equipment Dept.
• Collect and upload pictures for used equipment assets into the database.
• Ensure advertised pricing is current and adjust as directed by management.
• Post available assets to CATUSED.com with pictures and accurate information.
• Track and store all paperwork for consignment machines.
• Maintain complete records on used equipment assets in inventory.
• Coordinate with Marketing to provide information for publications and promotions.
• Coordinate all equipment hauling for sales, transfers, demos/loaners.
• Assist in locating specific equipment for Sales Representatives.
• Maintain regular, punctual attendance.

Job Description

Peterson Cat has a need for a Used Equipment Sales Administrator who can be based at either our Hillsboro, OR or San Leandro, CA location.

Essential Job Functions

• Assist Used Equipment department with paperwork and data entry for used equipment purchases and trade-ins.
• Complete, monitor, and track Sales team NTL's (Need to Locate) for used equipment assets and liaise with Used Equipment Department.
• Collect and upload pictures for used equipment assets into company database.
• Ensure all used equipment assets have advertised pricing and maintain any price adjustments directed by management.
• Ensure all available used equipment assets are properly posted to CATUSED.com with pictures and proper information.
• Monitor, track, and store all paperwork/data for consignment machines.
• Help maintain complete and accurate records on used equipment assets in inventory.
• Work with the Marketing team as directed to provide necessary information for regular publications, communications, and promotions.
• Coordinate all equipment hauling for used sales, transfers, and demos/loaners.
• Assist in locating specific equipment required for Sales Representatives.
• Maintain regular, punctual, and predictable attendance.

Other Job Functions

• Travel away from base location occasionally to meet with team members, attend training, and perform other essential functions.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
• Display excellent communication skills including presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills required in working with customers/ coworkers, including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure.
• Respectfully take direction from supervisor/manager.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); and a minimum of three (3) years of related experience in equipment sales, preferably in a heavy industrial environment; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Caterpillar dealer background preferred
• Knowledge of Dealer Business System (DBS) preferred.
