Job summary

Hilbish Ford is seeking an experienced Used Car Technician to inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair pre-owned vehicles, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and road-ready in Kannapolis, NC.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and diagnostic abilities, a positive attitude, and a commitment to quality workmanship across diverse makes and models. This role requires adaptability, thorough troubleshooting, and delivering high-quality repairs.

Qualifications

• Technical or vocational training in automotive technology is preferred.
• Proven experience as an automotive technician with used vehicle maintenance/repairs.
• ASE certifications are highly desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Flexibility to handle a variety of vehicle models.
• Willingness to share knowledge and mentor junior technicians.
• Adherence to safety regulations and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of used vehicles to assess overall condition.
• Identify and document mechanical, electrical, or safety issues.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot issues.
• Perform diagnostics on engine, transmission, brakes, and other systems.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
• Perform quality control checks to ensure repairs meet industry standards.
• Other duties assigned.
