Job summary

Hilbish Ford in Kannapolis, NC is seeking an experienced Ford Certified Service Technician to join our busy service department. The ideal candidate has strong diagnostic skills and enjoys solving tough problems while working on a variety of models.

You will perform repairs as per repair orders, test drive vehicles with diagnostic tools, communicate with the Service Advisor, provide time estimates, and ensure warranty work meets manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an auto technician preferred
• Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Clean driving record & valid driver’s license
• Must pass pre-employment background screenings

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.
• Test drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed.
• Provide estimates of time needed for additional repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.
