Job summary

Grapevine Honda is seeking a Used Car Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles to dealer and factory standards. You will perform repairs, document work, road-test vehicles, and ensure customer vehicles are returned clean and ready.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, automotive tech training, and experience with used vehicle reconditioning. OEM certifications (CDJR, Ford, GM, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, VW, Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz) are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; automotive tech training preferred.
• Experience as Automotive Technician with used vehicle reconditioning, repair, and maintenance.
• OEM-certified technician preferred (CDJR, Ford, GM, Toyota, Honda, Nissan, VW, Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, or other).

Responsibilities

• Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with Lithia and manufacturer standards.
• Diagnose cause of malfunction.
• Complete all work according to safety requirements.
• Road-test vehicles to ensure quality of repair work.
• Document work performed on repair order and test procedures/results.
• Ensure customer’s vehicles are returned clean and ready.
• Acquire and maintain manufacturer and ASE certifications by completing training.
• Review technical bulletins and publications as assigned.
• Communicate with dealership personnel to satisfy customer needs.

This individual utilizes their skills to diagnose and resolve the different sources of automotive problems swiftly and accurately.
