Job summary

Lexus of Orange County in New York is hiring Used Car Technicians for a full-time role with a $3,500 sign-on bonus and pay of $20–$41+ per hour, based on experience. The position requires diagnosing, repairing, and reconditioning used vehicles to meet safety and showroom standards.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of automotive repair experience, a NYS Inspection License, and ASE certifications. A valid driver's license is essential and ASE training is provided where needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of automotive repair experience.
• Familiarity diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing engines, electrical systems, and transmissions.
• New York State Inspection License.
• Up-to-date ASE Certifications.
• Acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license in your state of residence.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive inspections and reconditioning of used vehicle inventory.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, suspension, steering, braking, HVAC, and drivability concerns.
• Complete maintenance services to prepare vehicles for frontline sale.
• Identify and document repair recommendations according to dealership standards.
• Perform quality inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety and appearance requirements.
• Collaborate with service, parts, and used vehicle departments to ensure timely completion of work.
• Maintain accurate repair orders and documentation.
