Job summary

FOW is seeking an experienced Workshop Manager to lead our busy vehicle preparation operation across 30 ramps. You will drive performance, productivity and quality, ensuring every vehicle is retail-ready on time in a high-volume environment.

You will manage a large team of technicians and staff, optimise workflow, and uphold safety standards while collaborating with purchasing, sales and vehicle prep teams. A strong leadership background and a full UK driving licence are required.

Qualifications

• Experience as Workshop Manager or Senior Aftersales Manager.
• Proven track record in a high-volume automotive workshop.
• Strong leadership and people-management skills.
• Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
• Hands-on, results-driven approach.
• Full UK driving licence.

Operating across 30 workshop ramps within one of the busiest used car operations in the region, this is an opportunity for a strong automotive leader to make a real impact in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

You’ll be responsible for leading teams, driving productivity, maintaining exceptional preparation standards, and ensuring every vehicle is retail-ready on time and to the highest quality.

The Role

As Workshop Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day management of our workshop and vehicle preparation operation, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and operational excellence throughout.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a large team of technicians, workshop controllers and support staff

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience as a Workshop Manager, Service Manager or Senior Aftersales Manager
• Proven experience managing a high volume automotive workshop
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Excellent organisational and planning abilities
• Strong understanding of workshop KPI’s and operational performance
• A hand-on, results driven approach
• Commitment to quality and customer satisfaction
• Full UK driving licence
