Job summary

Dick Hannah Dealerships is seeking a Used Car Assistant Manager to oversee auction results, pricing, and trade-in evaluations in a fast-paced automotive environment. You will work with managers to maximize gross profits while staying compliant with laws and company policies.

You will coordinate with service teams, attend managers meetings, and ensure timely completion of tasks, including test drives and transport arrangements to auctions. Competitive compensation and strong benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills (listening, writing, speaking).
• Public relations skills; ability to establish rapport and present information.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to learn automotive programs and products.
• Ability to sell and/or negotiate.

Responsibilities

• Track auction purchase results and compare gross profits with trade-ins.
• Monitor customer interest in vehicles not in stock (lost sales).
• Stay updated on current market/value of used vehicles.
• Appraise vehicle trades with the sales manager.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws for used-vehicle industry.
• Coordinate with service/reconditioning manager to ensure timely work.
• Maximize profit on wholesale units and dispose of old age/trades.
• Price and market used vehicles based on market conditions to maximize profit.
• Maintain professional appearance and conduct manager meetings as needed.
• Test drive vehicles as needed; ensure insurability with company insurance.
• Setup and monitor transportation to and from auctions.
