Job summary

Keysight is seeking a Usability Engineering Intern to help explore and evolve a next-generation UI for a targeted product portfolio. You will work with engineering, product management, and UX professionals to ensure an intuitive, efficient, and consistent user experience across interfaces.

The role emphasizes hands-on experience in user-centered design, usability engineering, and UX strategy within a technically sophisticated product environment.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Human Factors, HCI, UX Design, Psychology, or related field.
• Strong interest in usability, user-centered design, and user research methodologies.
• Familiarity with UX design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, or similar platforms.
• Ability to analyze user feedback and translate findings into actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct user research to understand target user needs, workflows, pain points, and expectations.
• Evaluate proposed UI concepts against usability and human factors principles.
• Assist in planning and executing usability studies, interviews, surveys, and prototype evaluations.
• Analyze research findings and present recommendations to project stakeholders.
• Create wireframes, mockups, workflows, and prototype concepts to communicate design ideas.
• Benchmark competitor and industry solutions to identify best practices and trends.
• Investigate design systems, component libraries, and UX tools to support annual UI updates.
• Define reusable interaction patterns, usability guidelines, and design standards.
