Job summary

Keysight is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join our engineering team. In this role, you will work hands-on at the intersection of software and hardware—building prototypes, GUI development, test automation, and software debugging with direct hardware testing.

You will collaborate across Windows and Linux environments, participate in Agile software development, and own an intern project from concept to presentation, gaining practical experience in GPS/GNSS technologies and modern DevOps

Qualifications

• Pursuing a STEM degree in a related field.
• Proficient in Python, C/C++, or C#.
• Exposure to hardware drivers and serial interfaces.
• Experience with desktop GUI frameworks (PyQt6, Qt, WPF/.NET).
• Basic understanding of encryption concepts and data security.
• Interest in GPS/GNSS technologies and positional data systems.
• Familiar with Agile software development lifecycle and DevOps.
• Experience on Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Willingness to perform hands-on hardware testing.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Build functional software prototypes and GUIs to control hardware systems.
• Test software-hardware integration and identify defects.
• Translate manual tests into automated scripts.
• Support other ongoing development efforts.
• Participate in Agile & DevOps workflows in Windows and Linux.
• Own a dedicated intern project from concept to presentation.
