Stanley Black & Decker is seeking a motivated UX/UI Design Intern to join our Valley City design team in Ohio. You’ll contribute to user experiences for physical products across our trusted brands, collaborating with designers, engineers and cross-functional partners.

This internship applies UX/UI principles to real-world products—from human-machine interfaces to product interfaces—while you learn how design decisions are influenced by usability, feasibility and manufacturing realities.

Qualifikationen

• Currently pursuing a degree in UX/UI Design, Interaction Design, Industrial Design, HCI, or a related field.
• Coursework or project experience in UX/UI design, product design, interface design, or related disciplines.
• Familiarity with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud, or comparable software.
• Ability to create and communicate basic wireframes, flows, prototypes, and interface concepts.

Aufgaben

• Support UX/UI design activities for product interfaces, including human-machine interfaces (HMI), displays, and controls.
• Assist with user research, competitive analysis, and synthesis of findings to identify design opportunities.
• Create wireframes, user flows, interface concepts, prototypes, and visual design explorations.
• Help translate complex user, technical, and business requirements into intuitive experiences.
• Participate in design reviews and communicate design rationale to designers, engineers, and product managers.
• Iterate on concepts based on feedback, usability insights, technical constraints, and evolving product requirements.
