Job summary

Vertiv’s Experience Design Group is seeking a UX intern to work with senior designers, product managers, and developers to shape user experiences for web, mobile, and industrial applications.

Responsibilities include user research, wireframing, prototyping, usability testing, and contributing to design systems. This hands-on role offers exposure to cross-functional teams and real-world problem solving in a learning environment.

Qualifications

• Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in UX/UI Design, HCI, Graphic Design, Psychology, or a related field.
• Portfolio: A portfolio of academic, personal, or professional projects showcasing a user-centered design process, wireframes, and prototypes.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with standard design and prototyping software (e.g., Figma).
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present design ideas clearly.

Responsibilities

• User Research: Assist in conducting user interviews, surveys, and competitive analyses to understand user needs and behaviors.
• Design & Prototyping: Create low- and high-fidelity wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes using tools like Figma.
• Testing & Iteration: Participate in usability testing sessions, gather feedback, and help translate insights into design improvements.
• Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and marketing to ensure designs align with user and business goals.
• Design Systems: Help maintain and update UI components, style guides, and design documentation.
