Job summary

Keysight is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join the engineering team in Utah. You will build software prototypes and GUIs to control hardware, debug software-hardware interfaces, and translate testing procedures into automated scripts.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Programming proficiency in Python, C/C++, or C#.
• Exposure to hardware drivers and low-level hardware-to-software interfaces.
• Experience with GUI frameworks such as PyQt6, Qt, or WPF/.NET.
• Familiarity with Agile software development and DevOps principles.
• Working knowledge of Windows and Linux.

Responsibilities

• Software Prototyping & GUI Development: Build functional software prototypes and GUIs to control, monitor, and interface with hardware systems.
• Hands-on Software-Hardware Debugging: Test software-hardware integration and identify defects for fixes.
• Automation Scripting: Translate manual hardware testing procedures into automated test scripts.
• Engineering Support: Support other ongoing development efforts.
• Agile & DevOps Workflow: Participate in standups, sprint planning, PRs and DevOps workflows across Windows and Linux.
• Intern Project: Take end-to-end ownership of a dedicated project from concept to presentation.
