Job summary

Adecco is hiring a Buyer for an immediate opening in Austin, TX. Pay is $25.00/hr – $27.00/hr, with responsibilities spanning supplier negotiations, RFQs, and timely material delivery.

The role partners with engineering and manufacturing to keep inventory at planned levels and manage nonstrategic suppliers. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or related field, plus proficiency in SAP/SCV/ARIBA and strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in SAP/SCV/ARIBA procurement software.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Experience with data analysis, inventory management, and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate pricing and terms of purchase under supervision.
• Manage nonstrategic suppliers.
• Quote, procure materials, components, equipment and services at lowest cost with quality and reliability.
• Expedite and ensure timely receipt of materials.
• Collaborate with engineers to identify new suppliers.
• Issue RFQs, analyze proposals, negotiate prices and delivery, manage POs.
• Follow up on orders, verify delivery, approve payments and maintain records.
• Negotiate vendor contracts as appropriate.
• Lead purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering to maintain inventory at planned levels.
• Resolve material-related accounting and receiving issues.

Adecco is hiring immediately for a Buyer with a local client in Austin, TX. Pay is $25.00/hr. - $27.00hr.

Duties

• Negotiates pricing and other terms of purchase under supervision.
• Manage nonstrategic suppliers.
• Quotes materials; procures materials, components, equipment and services at the lowest cost consistent with consideration of quality, reliability of source and urgency of need.
• Expedites and ensures the timely receipt of materials.
• Works with engineers to recommend new suppliers.
• Issues RFQs, analyzes proposals, negotiates prices and delivery, issues and/or adjusts purchase orders in a timely manner.
• Follows-up on orders, verifies delivery, approves payment, and maintains necessary records.
• Negotiates vendor contracts, as appropriate.
• Follows purchasing business processes.
• Leads purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels.
• Leads problem resolution for material related accounting and receiving issues

Qualifications

• Proficiency in procurement software SAP/SCV/ARIBA
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Motivation, initiative, collaboration, connectivity and coaching
• Bachelor's degree Required: Yes, bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, procurement, or a related field is typically preferred
• Data analysis, inventory management, procurement processes, and supply chain technologies
• Effective communication, negotiation, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

Pay Details
