$18.00/hr - $25.00/hr

Position Summary

As a Tire & Battery Center Technician, you will work to provide safe and efficient service in both the sales and service areas of the department, delivering more of what members love for less. You will collaborate with other associates to meet the club’s expectations.

What you'll do

1. Be a Team Member: Collaborate with team members to fulfill sales and service requests, educate others on tools, tasks, resources, and mentor new technicians. Communicate effectively and develop interpersonal skills for providing safe and efficient customer service.
2. Be an Expert: Demonstrate knowledge of safety and compliance protocols, industry guidelines, service standards, equipment operation, TPMS, product specifications, and seasonality. Show familiarity with Point of Sale systems, selling techniques, and digital tools.
3. Be a Techie: Use digital tools to plan, drive sales, improve service, and elevate engagement. Utilize handheld technology for immediate business decisions and adapt to new tools.
4. Be an Owner: Communicate needs for equipment, tools, and supplies. Track returns, monitor inventory, operate cash registers, process transactions, and maintain safety and compliance standards. Assist members with purchasing decisions and resolve issues.
5. Be a Talent Ambassador: Promote the brand by valuing member experience, developing others, and fostering a respectful, supportive team environment. Understand and address roadblocks, and assist in training.
6. Respect the Individual: Embrace diversity, create a sense of belonging, and support all associates to thrive. Build trust and motivate others through positive communication.
7. Act with Integrity: Uphold high standards of ethics and compliance, model Walmart values, and support a culture of accountability. Act humbly, honestly, and transparently.
