Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and effectively communicate business objectives to teams. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing and supporting customer service initiatives such as store community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs and complaints are addressed, developing action plans to correct deficiencies, and leading process improvements to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating P&L statements, managing budgets, forecasting, controlling expenses, monitoring merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, operational processes, and developing action plans to mitigate shrinkage and achieve sales and profit goals. Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, providing recognition, ensuring diversity and inclusion, and recruiting qualified staff to meet staffing needs and support company growth.
Coordinates and oversees activities by developing relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, and building accountability. Ensures compliance with policies and standards of ethics and integrity, supporting the company mission and values through the Open Door Policy and proper business practices. Builds high-performing teams, embraces diversity, and creates a workplace of belonging where associates feel supported and connected. Attracts, retains, and develops talent, recognizing contributions and fostering a culture of integrity and service excellence.

2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For firearm sales, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required. Facility-specific certifications may be required for ammunition sales. Associates must attend and complete all required training and assessments such as Academy and Open Door trainings.
Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, and experience supervising five or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
