Job description

Position Summary

Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Introduces and leads company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams effectively. Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing and supporting customer service initiatives, and ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved. Develops and implements action plans to correct deficiencies and provides process improvement leadership to ensure a high-quality customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Drive the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating Profit & Loss statements, managing budgets, forecasting, controlling expenses, and monitoring inventory flow and operational processes.
  2. Develop and mentor associates through hiring, training, assigning duties, setting expectations, and recognizing contributions. Build a workplace of belonging and ensure staffing needs are met to support company growth.
  3. Coordinate activities with key stakeholders, support plans to meet customer and business needs, and promote continuous learning and improvement.
  4. Ensure compliance with company policies, support company mission, values, and ethics, and promote a culture of integrity and respect.
  5. Attract, retain, and develop talent, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  6. Act with integrity, uphold high standards of ethics, and support Walmart's sustainability and community initiatives.
  7. Deliver results by focusing on customer needs, making data-driven decisions, and balancing short- and long-term priorities.
  8. Encourage innovation, resilience, and continuous improvement through learning and adaptation.
Minimum Qualifications

2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. Candidates must successfully complete all required trainings and assessments, including any firearms or ammunition-specific background checks if applicable.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, or a Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership. Experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
