Job description

Position Summary...

What you'll do...
  • Lead and develop teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback.
  • Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction.
  • Introduce and lead company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams effectively.
  • Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
  • Manage and support customer service initiatives, such as store community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved.
  • Develop and implement action plans to correct deficiencies and lead process improvements to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
  • Drive financial performance and sales by reviewing PL statements, managing budgets, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
  • Ensure effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes, and develop action plans to mitigate shrink and meet sales and profit goals.
  • Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and assigning duties.
  • Set clear expectations, recognize associates, and ensure diversity and inclusion awareness, recruiting, and development to meet staffing needs.
  • Coordinate and oversee job-related activities by building relationships with key stakeholders and supporting plans to meet customer and business needs.
  • Build high-performing teams, embrace differences, and create a workplace of belonging where associates feel supported and connected.
  • Attract, retain, empower, and develop talent, recognizing contributions and accomplishments.
  • Act with integrity by maintaining high standards of ethics and compliance, modeling Walmart values, and supporting our culture of accountability and transparency.

The annual salary range for this position is $65,000.00-$80,000.00 plus differential, with additional bonuses and possible location-based pay adjustments.

Minimum Qualifications...
  • 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • For firearms-selling facilities, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required.
  • For facilities selling only ammunition, current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.
  • Associates must attend and complete all required trainings and assessments.
Preferred Qualifications...
  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • Experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
