Job summary

LanceSoft is seeking a Material Handling Operator in Charlotte, NC to receive, store, and move goods using forklifts and other equipment, ensuring accuracy of quantities and documentation.

The role requires 2 years of vocational training and up to 1 year of related experience, with responsibilities including inventory checks, data entry, and proper handling and shipping of goods.

Qualifications

• 2-year vocational training or equivalent required.
• Up to 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Experience with data entry and shipping docs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accept incoming goods and compare with shipping documents.
• Check goods for damage and document findings.
• Operate transport equipment (forklift, pallet jack, crane) safely.
• Record data in processing systems.
• Arrange storage, commissioning and removal of goods.
• Maintain regular stock checks and inventory accuracy.

Job Description: Title: Material Handling Operator Location: Charlotte, NC 28273 Duration: 12+ months (Temp to Hire) Shift: 6:30am- 3:00pm Pay Rate: $28/Hour

Position Description:

• Accepts incoming goods and compares them with the shipping document (Material number, description, quantity).
• Checks incoming goods for visible damage, documents them and provides the information if required.
• Takes care for correct use of transport equipment (hand-guided industrial trucks, forklift, etc.).
• Captures relevant data in data processing systems.
• Arranges the acceptance, storage, commissioning and removal of goods in the storage area and records them in the appropriate systems.
• Organizes a regular stock maintenance and inventory in the storage area.
• Assembles deliveries out of given storage compartments and reviews for completeness and accuracy (e.G. Quantity and article number in reference to the respective delivery notes).
• Completes packaging of deliveries having regard to shipping instructions, common methods of dispatch, types of packaging and other instructions (e.G. Dangerous Goods) in the given framework.
• Adds the corresponding shipping documents to the outgoing goods.
• Completes transports inside and if applicable outside the premises with professional usage of appropriate means of transportation. (Crane, Forklift, Pallet Jacks, Carts, etc.)

Experience:

2-year vocational training + up to 1 year experience needed.

Knowledge:

Basic knowledge and experience of principles, procedures, work routines and skills in the related field of work, gained through structured and focused two-year vocational training period
