Job Description

This role involves leading and developing teams by teaching, training, actively listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback. Responsibilities include communicating and collaborating with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. The role also entails introducing and leading company change efforts, providing clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions, and communicating business objectives effectively.

The position models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model, managing customer service initiatives, and ensuring customer needs, complaints, and issues are resolved. Developing and implementing action plans to address deficiencies and leading process improvements are also key aspects.

Financial responsibilities include reviewing and evaluating profit and loss statements, managing budgets, forecasting, controlling expenses, and monitoring inventory flow, merchandising, and operational processes to achieve sales and profit goals. The role involves supervising and developing hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and setting expectations, while promoting diversity and inclusion.

Additional duties include coordinating activities with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives, building accountability, and promoting continuous learning. Ensuring compliance with company policies and supporting company values and ethics are also essential.

The role emphasizes respect for individuals, building high-performing teams, fostering a culture of belonging, and creating opportunities for all associates to thrive. It requires acting with integrity, serving customers, striving for excellence, and supporting continuous improvement and technological adoption.

Benefits

The annual salary range is $65,000 to $80,000 plus differential and performance bonuses, with additional compensation based on location and external factors.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • For firearms-selling facilities, successful completion of a criminal background check and firearms training is required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Leadership or related fields, or certificates in People and Business Leadership.
  • Experience supervising multiple direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
