Job summary

Morrisonexpress is seeking a senior operations leader to manage and oversee station operations in New York, ensuring efficiency and adherence to company policies. You will supervise and lead a team, guiding performance toward sales targets and operational goals.

The role involves developing strategic plans to drive business growth, monitoring station performance, collaborating with cross-functional teams on sales strategies and campaigns, and ensuring compliance with legal and safety

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business qualifications.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in international freight forwarding and contract logistics.
  • Proven experience with closing international freight forwarding sales.
  • Knowledge of Trans-Pacific trade lanes.
  • Experience working with multi-modal transportation (Ocean, Air, Import, Export, TL, LTL).
  • Experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Strong business acumen with a keen aptitude to quickly assimilate new information.
  • Excellent organization, analytical, written, and oral communications skills.
  • Proven management skills to drive the operational growth and ensure profitability.
  • Proven track record in business development and demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Strategic thinker with very strong commercial acumen and an entrepreneurial flair.
  • Experienced working with semiconductor industry a plus.
  • Ability to motivate people through collaborative skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Set stretch goals for the team that challenge and engage their effort to continuously improve performance.
  • Identify and solve problems with sustainable solutions that align with the company strategic and tactical plans, policy, and procedures.
  • Oversee P&L for the district, ensuring that revenue goals are met by managing expenses, maximizing profits and minimizing losses.
