Role Summary

Lead the development and delivery of agile trading technology solutions for Prime and Equities desks. Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical solutions, manage a small development team, and maintain direct stakeholder relationships with trading desks.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 2-3 developers in delivering trading tools and enhancements using Python, React, SQL, and CI/CD frameworks.
• Partner directly with trading desks to gather requirements, prioritize features, and deliver solutions in an agile manner.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership across the US region.
• Collaborate with global trading tools teams in Japan, AEJ, and EMEA regions.
• Ensure system reliability, performance, and compliance with trading desk operational requirements.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate technical concepts to non-technical business users.
• Work core trading hours (8:30 AM – 5:30 PM EST) with flexibility for market events and global coordination.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in financial services technology, preferably in trading or prime services.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with CI/CD practices and React development is a plus.
• Proven team leadership and mentoring experience.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with business stakeholders.
• Experience in agile development methodologies.
• Understanding of trading workflows and financial markets.
