Nomura Holdings, Inc. in New York seeks an experienced software engineer to join the Global Execution Services algo team. You will help develop our algorithmic trading platform and contribute across the full project lifecycle, delivering features and robust testing.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $600 - $800 per day*.

As the Global Execution Services technology division for Nomura’s Wholesale IT, the group provides brokerage services solutions to clients in over 65 markets around the world. Through its advanced suite of electronic trading strategies, experienced high‑touch trading group, top‑ranked Commission Management services, award‑winning desktop trading platform, and unparalleled access to insightful analytics, content and unique liquidity, Nomura helps institutions lower overall trading costs and ultimately improve investment performance.
Nomura’s proprietary algorithmic trading systems address our clients’ diverse range of trading styles and goals. The platform trades a significant portion of client order flow per day globally and represents a business‑critical system for the firm. We provide a core set of global, event‑driven, multi‑asset trading strategies and deploy a library of regularly updated component tactics and extensive controls to refine behaviour. Clients can easily tailor strategies to meet specific objectives.
The team works closely with the Quants to bring new strategies to the market and to constantly evolve the portfolio of algorithmic offerings of the firm. The role requires an excellent technologist with deep experience in mission‑critical and highly evolving systems.
