US Technical Sales Director (remote, US based)

Company:

My client is an exciting UK scaleup company developing innovative metrology systems for the global semiconductor manufacturing sector.

The role:

After a significant R&D phase the company is poised to build on their success selling metrology systems across Korea and Taiwan by hiring this key person in the US to drive sales within the US semiconductor market. This role will suit someone who has previously worked in a sales, business development, or applications role and combines a high degree of relevant technical knowledge with a strong network in US semiconductor manufacturing companies.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a strategic road map for US sales growth
• Negotiate and deliver high value system sales
• Provide leadership to local technical and customer support teams
• Build strong relationships with existing and potential customers
• Provide technical expertise during the sales process
• Represent the company at relevant conferences and trade shows.

Requirements:

• Current US resident with US citizenship
• Masters/PhD in a relevant field such as physics, nanotechnology, materials science or similar
• Experience of the sales process for high value capital equipment
• Minimum 5 years in a sales or customer facing role
• In depth understanding of metrology (ideally AFM) and the semiconductor manufacturing process
• Willingness to travel to customer locations in US and occasional trips to Abingdon HQ, UK
• Ability to build and lead a small team.

Salary $150-180k (depending on experience) + generous bonus, share options and local benefits package
