Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a Sales Director (East) to join our growing ad sales team reporting directly to the CRO. The Director will be a strategic partner to the overall Plex ad sales team and our advertising clients and will serve as an individual contributor. As part of a fast- paced sales environment, this position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, extensive agency relationships, and a passion for working within an entrepreneurial ad supported streaming platform. This position will be fully remote. Candidate must be willing to commute for client presentations, meetings, and entertainment with buyers and advertisers.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Understand and effectively communicate Plex’s value proposition, technology advantages and ad supported streaming AVOD and FAST platforms to advertisers and ad agencies
  • Develop advertiser and agency contacts and cultivate relationships at all levels to influence buying decisions
  • Drive new sales and expanding existing sales across Plex’s ad supported FAST and AVOD platforms
  • Work closely with other internal teams to build sales proposals that focus on clients (agency or direct) business objectives and present the most relevant information to support Plex’s market position
  • Become a brand ambassador in building marketplace awareness for Plex while driving business relationships with clients

What you bring to the table

  • 7+ years of experience in digital advertising sales /selling to brand advertisers and agency leaders; CTV/OTT preferred
  • Extensive relationships with Agency Hold Co’s, Agencies, Clients
  • Experience in selling premium video advertising
  • Strong desire for collaboration, creative ideation and proactive client engagement
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proficiency Excel, PowerPoint and various reporting platforms
  • Entrepreneurial and intrinsically driven to work in a fast paced, ad supported growing streaming environment
  • You are hungry to make an impact, continuously working to improve our product and process
  • A demonstrated history of meeting and exceeding annual revenue targets
  • Open to traveling for in person client meetings and conference functions

Remote Work

  • Plex hires new team members in countries around the world.
  • As such, Plex does not sponsor employment visas.
  • All of our roles are remote, however some roles may carry specific location-based eligibility requirements. Our hiring team can help answer any questions about location after starting the recruiting process.
  • Also, please note, though we largely work asynchronously, as it relates to meetings, those generally occur between UTC 1600 to UTC 1900

Compensation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US and Global geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $150,000/year up to $175,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, seniority, local currency and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. There will also be a commission component in addition to base pay for this role.
