Job summary
Marquee is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to lead its commercial growth across American sports from the US. You will own the full US sales cycle, grow the soccer business across MLS/USL, and lead expansion into basketball, American football, and college sports.
You will engage directly with General Managers, Sporting Directors and Data/Analyst teams, leveraging an established US sports network and a track record of closing multi-stakeholder deals.
Qualifications
- 7+ years in sports business development or sales.
- Experience selling data/analytics to sports organizations.
- Proven ability to close deals with General Managers, Sporting Directors, Technical Directors, Heads of Recruitment or Data.
- Established network across American soccer, MLS/USL.
- Strong relationships with executives in NBA/G League, NFL or college football organizations.
Responsibilities
- Own the full US sales cycle from first conversation through contract, expansion and renewal.
- Grow Marquee's US soccer business across MLS and USL clubs.
- Lead commercial expansion into basketball, American football and college athletics, opening first accounts in each market.
- Use your executive network to open doors with ownership and front-office leadership.
- Run discovery with Sporting Directors and recruitment staff, map decision processes and build business cases.
