Harvey, Inc. is seeking an experienced US Payroll Manager to scale our payroll operations amid rapid growth.

The role requires meticulous detail orientation, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to build scalable processes for a high-growth startup environment. You will own payroll processing, tax filings, and benefits administration in the US across multiple time zones, collaborating with People Ops and Workday enhancements.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of payroll experience, preferably with 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Bachelor's degree (Business or related preferred)
• CPP highly preferred
• Experience implementing or operating within a Workday HRIS environment
• Experience with payroll accounting, tax, etc
• Intermediate knowledge of Excel, Google Sheets, etc.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with utmost professionalism.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast- paced environment.
• Problem-solving attitude with the ability to adapt to changing requirements and work under pressure.
• Sense of urgency around the US payroll process and comfort supporting multiple time zones

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely payroll processing for all employees.
• Collaborate with People Ops to manage payroll components of benefits programs.
• Serve as primary contact for Workday enhancements.
• Assist with month-end close tasks related to payroll entries.
• Lead annual 401k audit and ensure funding reconciliation after each payroll.
• Perform quarterly Form 941 filings and state tax reconciliations.
• Review and approve termination checks.
• Maintain records for audits and ensure data confidentiality.
