Job summary

Sentec, a Swiss-American medical device company, seeks an US HR Director to align people practices with business goals and drive a consistent employee experience across the US organization.

You will partner with US leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, and HR strategy, lead the US HR team, and ensure compliance with federal and state laws while overseeing benefits, payroll input, recruiting, and HR processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any field required.
• 8+ years progressive HR generalist/HRBP experience, incl. 3+ years leading HR for a multi-site org.
• Experience in international or matrixed environments.
• Strong knowledge of US employment law; multi-state HR experience.
• Experience handling sensitive employee relations matters with managers/site leaders.
• Experience partnering with US site leaders and supporting organizational change management.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.
• Ability to work 4 days per week on-site (Lincoln, RI).

Responsibilities

• Partner with US leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, and people decisions.
• Lead and develop the US HR team.
• Manage employee relations investigations and documentation in alignment with global standards.
• Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, including Rhode Island and other applicable states.
• Oversee benefits administration and the PEO relationship with Justworks, including annual renewals.
• Provide accurate HR input to payroll.
• Manage recruiting, onboarding, and offboarding through Workable.
• Responsible for HR processes in the US, including performance management, compensation reviews, and policies.
