Job summary

Q‑CTRL is seeking a leader to manage US government engagement, shaping policy and funding initiatives to advance quantum technologies for US defense and economic interests. You will collaborate with business development, technical, product, and marketing teams to pursue government opportunities and partnerships.

The role requires a strong policy background, an established Capitol Hill network, and exceptional communication skills to translate complex quantum concepts for government audiences.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in government, congressional affairs, public policy, or government relations.
• Proven track record shaping policy, legislation, or public funding.
• Strong understanding of US federal policymaking and budget processes.
• Established Capitol Hill and federal department networks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute US government engagement strategy with clear policy and funding outcomes.
• Build bipartisan relationships with congressional offices, federal agencies, and state governments.
• Represent company interests in policy forums and engagements with US government partners.
• Shape policy, legislation, and funding decisions through targeted advocacy.
• Identify and secure government funding and partnerships aligning with government priorities.
• Monitor policy developments and provide timely guidance to leadership.
• Represent Q-CTRL in industry associations and policy discussions to raise visibility.
• Perform other duties within skills and experience or with training.
