Job summary

Halperns' Steak & Seafood in Orlando, FL is seeking a CDL Class A Driver to deliver Halperns’ products safely and on time. You will interact professionally with customers and operate company equipment according to DOT rules.

Starting pay is $54,600 annually with a Monday–Saturday schedule (one day off during the week). We offer medical, prescription drug, EFAP, dental, vision and other voluntary plans; pre-tax saving accounts; profit sharing; and a family culture that supports career

Qualifications

• Must maintain safe driving and comply with DOT policies.
• Able to lift/move product and handle physical tasks.
• Strong communication with customers and management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Halperns’ products on time and in a professional manner.
• Communicate customer issues to management.
• Operate and inspect delivery equipment; complete required paperwork.
• Maintain clean cab and trailer; participate in department meetings.

Communicates customer issues and concerns. Operates Halperns’ equipment in a professional and safe manner demonstrating attention to detail, safe work habits, working knowledge of equipment and the ability to deal effectively with customers and the public.Essential Functions: see below for level requirementsEnsures safe, accurate, timely, and efficient delivery of Halperns’ products.Follows all company and Department of Transportation (DOT) policies and procedures.Builds and maintains good customer relationships. Demonstrates self-control.Accurately collects customer payments. Safeguards company funds and follows Halperns’ banking policies.Monitors reefer temperature, and reports mechanical issues and damages in a timely manner.Completes daily check-ins in a timely manner with no errors.Collaborates with management and sales representatives to communicate customer concerns.Performs daily pre/post trip inspection of vehicles and equipment. Completes check in process accurately and on time.
