ABB is seeking a senior in-house lawyer to provide comprehensive U.S. fiduciary, governance, and compliance support.

You will advise the Country Holding Officer and senior management on governance, risk, and strategic legal matters impacting business operations, including mergers and acquisitions and license-to-operate requirements. The role oversees integrity investigations, government contracting compliance, data privacy, cybersecurity, and regulatory certifications, while aligning with

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited U.S. law school with active bar admission and 10+ years in corporate/commercial law.
• Experience managing fiduciary responsibilities, corporate governance, and operating in a decentralized organization.
• Strong business-focused legal judgment with risk mitigation and process improvement experience.
• Proficiency in contract review, drafting, and negotiation; M&A; and corporate secretarial functions.
• Knowledge of data privacy, U.S. government contracting, contractor licensing, and related regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end accountability for Legal & Integrity fiduciary duties, corporate governance, and compliance for U.S. entities.
• Serve as trusted advisor to the U.S. Country Holding Officer on governance, compliance, risk, and strategic legal matters.
• Oversee integrity investigations, government contracting compliance, data privacy and cybersecurity; align with internal audit and risk management.
• Provide counsel on contracts and shared legal entity matters; supervise paralegal staff and collaborate with global centers of excellence.
