incident.io is seeking a US-based Commercial Counsel to partner with our US teams from San Francisco. You will help close deals quickly, navigate complex legal challenges, and scale a high-impact legal function for a fast-growing SaaS company.

The role emphasizes governance over SaaS commercial contracts, data privacy, and building scalable, self-serve legal resources to empower the business while mitigating risk.

Formación

• US licensed attorney with SaaS/startup in-house experience.
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills.
• Experience with data protection and privacy impacting the sales cycle.
• Comfort working autonomously yet collaboratively within a team.
• Able to navigate ambiguity in a fast-scaling company.

Responsabilidades

• Trusted Advisor: Act as a strategic partner to US GTM teams, providing pragmatic, high-velocity advice to manage risk and unblock complex commercial challenges.
• Deal Lead: Own drafting, review, and negotiation of a range of commercial contracts (primarily SaaS), balancing legal safeguards with commercial momentum.
• Privacy Specialist: Navigate US and international data protection issues, including negotiating DPAs and advising on business risks.
• Function Builder: Create self-serve legal tools, templates, and US-specific docs to speed the business.
• US Legal Expert: Serve as an internal SME on US legal nuances, including guidance on US employment matters as headcount scales.
