Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Commercial Counsel based in the United States to join a high-impact legal team. You will draft, review, and negotiate enterprise SaaS, software, and technology agreements while balancing business priorities with risk management.

You will partner with Sales, Finance, Security, and Procurement to drive successful commercial outcomes, advise on privacy matters, and support evolving regulatory obligations in a technology-driven environment.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant legal experience in software industry.
• J.D. and active U.S. state bar admission in good standing.
• Privacy experience in SaaS including negotiating data processing agreements.
• Working knowledge of U.S. state privacy laws (CCPA/CPRA) and GDPR across transfers.
• Experience negotiating with large enterprise or public sector customers.
• Ability to use AI tools such as Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, Copilot, or Harvey to streamline workflows.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and business judgment skills.
• Authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate enterprise SaaS, software, and technology agreements (partnership, reseller, supply, licensing).
• Manage contracting processes to progress transactions while protecting interests.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Security, Procurement to drive agreements to closure.
• Advise on customer and vendor arrangements to support sound decisions.
• Negotiate data processing agreements, security addenda, AI addenda, and privacy terms.
• Advise on platform data flows and privacy considerations.
• Monitor regulatory developments and provide guidance on compliance requirements.
• Contribute to process improvements and broader legal initiatives.
