Job summary

New York Imaging (NYI) is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist specialized in Urology in the New York City area. You will perform outpatient urology ultrasound exams (renal, bladder, prostate and small parts) at our Brooklyn/Manhattan locations, prepare preliminary impressions, and communicate results to on-site urologists.

The role requires ARDMS certification, graduation from an accredited ultrasound program, and 2+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program or equivalent.
• ARDMS (AB) certification required.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Urology ultrasound experience is a plus.
• Bachelor’s or Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of urology ultrasound exams including renal, bladder, prostate and small parts in an outpatient setting.
• Prepare preliminary written impressions and communicate results to on site urologists.
• Maintain and document regular equipment maintenance.
• Review and execute current lab protocols and assure emergent tests are expedited.
• Assist doctors with outpatient-related procedures/biopsies.
• Follow and understand all radiology policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, organization, and computer skills.
