Job summary

Boston Scientific is seeking a Urology R&D Engineering Co‑op to gain hands-on experience developing innovative medical technologies. You will work with experienced engineers on next-generation urology products, systems and processes.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, apply engineering principles to real-world challenges and contribute toward regulatory approval and commercial launch while enjoying mentorship and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, or Electrical Engineering with an expected graduation date in Fall/Winter 2027 or Spring 2030.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Ability to commute to Marlborough, MA or St. Paul, MN locations.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to new product development activities advancing medical technologies toward regulatory approval and market launch.
• Support development and analysis of products, materials, processes and equipment under senior engineers.
• Analyze technical problems, evaluate data and support engineering decisions.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation of test results and findings.
• Assist in troubleshooting product and process challenges related to design, materials and manufacturing.
• Translate customer needs into product requirements and design specifications.
• Support development of new product concepts and processes, including opportunities to contribute ideas.
• Report operational, test and research data to establish performance standards for new or modified products.
• Assist in testing procedures and train technicians on new processes.
• Collaborate with Process Development, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical and Marketing teams.
