Avera Health in Brookings, SD is seeking a qualified physician to provide direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and care as part of a multidisciplinary team at the Avera Brookings Clinic.

The role involves regular daytime work with on-call duties during nights, weekends, and holidays; emphasis on high-quality patient care, education, and coordination with care teams to ensure appropriate referrals and comprehensive treatment.

Qualifications

• MD/MBBS physician licensed to practice medicine in the service state (board-certified or board-eligible).
• DO physician licensed to practice medicine in the service state (board-certified or board-eligible).
• DEA license required upon hire (federal/state).

Responsabilités

• Assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients according to protocol and accepted standards.
• Provides medical services and health education to patients and families; promotes patient engagement in care.
• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed.
• Interprets diagnostic information and formulates a plan of care.
• Maintains patient records and ensures accuracy of information.
• Promotes safety and compliance with policies and standards; supports referrals as needed.

Formation

Medical Doctor - Board of Medicine Licensed and qualified to practice medicine in the state that services are provided

Doctor of Osteopathy - Board of Medicine Licensed and qualified to practice medicine in the state that services are provided

Federal Drug Enforcement Admin license
